Becoming

We called Trevor last week, the current owner of our shop.  He agreed to let us in so we could hang some signs so it doesn't look like an old, derelict building any longer than it has to.

...at least the outside!

Sorry, no peeking!

While we were there a friend of Jen & Dean's stopped by.  Terry is a builder who has built several houses for himself and has renovated cafes in the past as well.  He, like so many others who have heard about this little project of ours, stopped by solely because he was interested and wants to help.   He, along with so many others with experience in similar or related areas, just wanted to offer his opinion, free of charge and without looking to further a business relationship.  Just to help.  Just because he was excited.

Another new friend of Toff's, who has owned a bakery in the past, is so excited that he keeps sending us sporadic text messages when he gets an idea he can't contain.  Like this one: "Why buy ice coffee when you can make it...your ice coffee could be a thing of legend!"  I love looking down at our phone when a new message arrives to see "Tim Cawte" on the screen, it makes me laugh.  I love that everyone is so pumped about this!  It makes me feel as though we're not entirely insane...just moderately.

While we were there, not only did we have Terry stop by.  We also had Dean, Jen & Stephi, and also Toff's Aunt Sus and cousin Elly, who drove around the streets of Aldinga for at least half an hour until they found us.  

See?  It's already a popular gathering spot for locals!
