About Me

Hello, gorgeous humans!

I am a brand new life coach on a mission.

I want to help more women feel happy, healthy, & sexy.

That's it.
That's all!

It's something so simple, and yet, we complicate the heck out of it!!

I believe that we were put on this earth to have a good time. Not a bad time or a stressful time or a busy time... a good time. Spent doing things we love surrounded by good people that make us feel alive! (We are alive, after all. Might as well feel like it!)

I've just started taking clients, read here and here to find out how you can work with me right now!!

Want to know more about me??

I love watermelon, these three gorgeous kids, and being happy. Also my husband and the beach and sunshine. And reading and taking pictures and laughing and having a gin with friends.

I am actively creating the best life possible with my husband right at my side, which means that a lot of our time is spent creating the strongest relationship possible for us.

We live in a small town by the beach an hour or so south of Adelaide. I feel a little stunned some days, by the surreal feeling of living a life that is so very far from the sort of life I imagined - in ways that is both tangible and intangible.

At the beginning of 2021 I manifested my family of five into our dream home! We are so blessed to live here, and pinch ourselves each and every day.

My happy place. Warm water, blue sky, people I love!

I am a fairly positive person by nature - sunshine and the beach. Warm weather and smiles. But I still acknowledge and respect the role that all of our emotions (just like all of the seasons!) have to play in our lives.

I trust in the darkness, because it lets us sink our roots in so that we know we have the strength to grow.

But growth gets to feel good if you let it.

This is the path I choose, for me and for everyone I love.

Background

I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, nestled right next to the Blue Ridge mountains. Rolling grass fields dotted with old fashioned wooden fences and historic signs from civil war battles. Soft, tree-covered mountains appearing blue in the distance, ample hiking trails, waterfalls and scenic view points. Big trees, warm summer nights dotted with fireflies, mild winters with just enough snow to keep it fun, but not enough to make it dreary for long.

Favourite, favourite photo of my twin sister Kiki & I!!

After high school I took a year off to volunteer for a program called AmeriCorps where I travelled the US for 10 months working with a team doing different conservation projects. Then I went to Uni in Virginia to study psychology!

During my third year I took the chance to Study Abroad at Flinders Uni in Adelaide for five months.  What a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit some place so very, very far away!

The one thing my parents told me was NOT to fall in love and stay there...

We got married on our favourite beach in the middle of winter!

We got so lucky - it was a beautiful, sunny day.

What can I say? Don't tell your kids what not to do, friends!!!!

I never intended to stay here. I never intended to move so very far from my family & friends who I adore. But let's just say being away from Toff was still harder. In the end I had to choose him, as life without him only ever felt like having a constantly broken heart.

Now, we have three kids, and we....

We Own a Bakery!

Toff and I own three bakeries across the Fleurieu.

We opened the first one in December 2011 - we were both just 25 years old at the time, and our very first baby was just three months old!

In June that year we saw an old building for sale in Aldinga. We thought the area needed a good bakery, so we opened one! Neither of us had any experience in bakeries at all, nor had we ever run a business before. But we still couldn't find a good enough reason for us to not at least try!

In just four years we had three babies and opened five bakeries.

Three kids, all aged four and under.
70 staff.
Five different bakeries.

Life was big and loud and chaotic! It was so much fun!! But it was also hard. Really, really hard. So we started making the changes we needed to make our life feel good again! I no longer want my answer to be "busy!" when anyone asks how I am.

Opening day! December 2011

Today, life is a different sort of chaos. We now own three bakeries across the Fleurieu Penninsula - all of which are in gorgeous little communities- Aldinga, McLaren Flat, & Middleton. While I didn't think we would ever own a bakery, turns out that it's the perfect vehicle for creating a positive place that makes people happy (which is where my true passion lies!!)

The true secret to our success is just surrounding ourselves with good people throughout the whole journey. (Actually, that might be a pretty good key to life in general!)

Our Family

I always, always knew I wanted children. I wanted to be pregnant and give birth more than any other desire I had for myself and my life.

After our first accidental-pregnancy (read more: here and maybe also here and here, if you want to!!) we knew we wanted three kids, and we knew we wanted them relatively close in age, so "here goes!!" we exclaimed as we dove in!!  So now we have three gorgeous little kiddies, James (9), Meg (8), and Charlie girl (5).

I love them.

They have taught me more about life and what's important than anything else I could even imagine.

Life Coach

Being called to Life Coaching is something that happened slowly for me.

Running a business with Toff for ten years, I just always felt like I was doing it wrong! I felt like I couldn't work the same way everyone else was working. The only answer seemed to be to just keep moving forward and to just keep up! Busy led to busier and busier still.

And then life got too hard.

Our relationship was suffering.
We had 0 time to show up for our extended family and friends.

Running a medium sized business with all those employees only ever felt like work.

And I don't want my life to feel like work!
I want it to feel good!!

So Toff and I both set out on a journey to figure out how.
(Actually - we're still on it.)

It led us to business coaches, exercising, iridology, fasting, meditation, manifestation, embodiment, co-creation (instead of co-dependence), and so, so much more!

And through the journey I realised that so many people who "make it big" seem to go through some sort of "rise from the ashes" experience, where they burn their life to the ground before becoming successful.

But I don't want to do that.

I really like my life. And my family. And my marriage.
I don't want to burn it down just to learn the lessons that I need to learn!!

I choose to learn the easy way (which - spoiler alert - may actually not be any easier than the hard way!!!! But at least it is of my choosing.)

And now I want to help other women learn the easy way too!

I help women follow their unique & authentic path to live a life they feel confident in!

So that's me!
I am a big fan of people, so never hesitate to reach out, and definitely follow me on instagram - it's where I spend the most time!  @ausacara

Hope you have a magical sort of day.
