Caught

We stocked the cabinets with crumpets, and made sure there were a couple cans of redbull in the fridge to go with that bottle of jaeger on the shelf (both left over from last time she was here!).  We swung the door behind us, and headed out to the airport - preparing for Aimee Newcomb sure is difficult!

Lunch - a Coopers Sparkling and 3 plates of salt & pepper squid

And now we are all here.  Toff has Dad's number on speed dial in case of urgent questions relating to advice on how he managed to live with myself, Kiki & Mom for 18 years under the same roof.  Heh heh heh.  I'm pretty sure Dad will just tell him, "Chocolate, and tissues...and a vodka tonic for you - and always remember, we like vodka a lot more than we like tonic."

And now, our next "new arrival" will be from Baby West.  A guest that may prove to be a little more difficult to prepare for.  We took another silhouette photo for you...but sadly it doesn't look any different from last month!  Apparently 38 weeks (gah!) pregnant means no more room to stretch.  According to baby center, a baby at 38 weeks is comparable to a leek (?! how is that comparable at all to what is inside me right now?!) I prefer to think of it as a "you're-fully-developed-now-and-running-out-of-room-rapidly-and-I-only-fit-into-Toff's-clothes-so-can-you-come-out-please?" melon.

In other news, while Kiki and I were catching Mom from her plane, Toff was catching equipment for the bakery from an auction.  We went down Monday to look at all of the goods, and to decide which we really needed/wanted and Toff made a list of what he would be willing to pay for each item (slash how much we could afford to put on our credit cards).   So at 5pm, the 3 of us girls met Toff and Craig (who had somehow been roped into helping for the day) at the shop so we could unload the goods!

This is how I help.  I dress up in fluorescent shirts and take artsy photos! yaaaay me!
I made Mom and Kiki both put on high-vis shirts we had left over from someone during Vintage, and I donned one myself, just in case the belly was too hard to see by itself in all of its rotund glory.  Somehow the four of them  five of us managed to get the entire trucks worth of heavy shop equipment into the storage shed.  And guess what?  This is only half of it!  Anyone free on Friday to come help unload the other half?

Trying to unload a $2,000 display cabinet without a) breaking it, or b) squishing anyone

The good news?  Toff managed to secure all of the essentials we need to operate a bakery!  Which means all we need are the keys so we can start the real fun!
