The Concert Series

Every now and then I see a live show that leaves me wondering, "WHY would anyone put up with mediocre music?"  

So here is to seeing Group Love live.  Here's to small music venues with a bar and a stage and simply room to stand.  Here is to best friends who buy you tickets to your favorite band the DAY they come on sale, because they couldn't bear the thought of you missing out on it.  Here's to ending up with 4 tickets, because your sister had the same idea.

Here is to dinner dates and spying on your favorite band as they warm up.  Here's to impromptu dance parties with your husband in the little corner of the restaurant you can see the band from.

Here's to discovering falling in love with new bands whose singers wear polka-dot socks on stage.  And whose drummers use a maraca instead of a drumstick.
